“The most valuable knowledge is that which enables people to live well, in harmony with others and with nature.”

- Gustavo Esteva, a Mexican activist and educator

Our Purpose

Kamino del Sol is a mutual aid farm where land access, cultural knowledge, and community healing come together. We support emerging BIPOC growers by providing the tools, space, and support to grow food and medicine in ways that honor their roots and nourish their futures.

Our purpose is to create a space where farming becomes a path to liberation—for land stewards, for youth, and for the communities they serve.

Our Path

We walk a path rooted in land, memory, and mutual care. At Kamino del Sol, we offer shared access to land and infrastructure for BIPOC farmers and herbalists, who in turn share their knowledge with youth and families through seasonal workshops.

This reciprocal model connects generations, uplifts ancestral practices, and makes farming more accessible for those long pushed to the margins.

Kamino del Sol is not only about returning to the land—it’s about reclaiming our right to thrive on it. Our work is a seed of resistance, a space for healing, and a future grown in community.

Together, we tend this land, build new traditions, and grow toward justice—one season at a time.

Our Commitments

Reclaiming Land as a Source of Healing
The earth is not a commodity—it is home, teacher, and relative. We are committed to regenerative practices that restore balance and ensure access to land, food, and medicine for those who need it most.

Uplifting Cultural Memory & Tradition
Our ancestors left blueprints in seeds, ceremonies, and the stories passed down. At Kamino del Sol, we honor Latinx and Indigenous ways of knowing—through herbalism, farming, and collective care—so future generations can live in relationship with their roots.

Nurturing Community Through Shared Abundance
We are growing beyond individualism. By offering land and infrastructure through mutual aid, and inviting families to learn with us, we cultivate a community where abundance is shared, and everyone has a role in sustaining the whole.

Walking in Justice, Joy, and Collective Power
Our work is not just about resisting harm—it’s about building something better. We walk toward liberation with our hands in the soil, led by joy, dignity, and a belief in collective power to grow a future that nourishes us all.
